Signature Cocktails

It’s the little things! The upside to having 1-2 signature drinks is that not everyone will like the one you picked out, so its good to have at least (1) more option and its very cost effective, you end up saving more than 50% on the overall event. Few things to think about; how will the drinks be served? What color will they be, keep in mind the color usually compliments the decor. Great drinks, great friends and money saving tactics. Perfect!

My top picks for some yummy cocktails dressed up for a party. Shake’m with ice and serve in a Martini glass! Don’t forget to accessorize with garnish. The recipes below are for single servings.

Signature

#1 Scooby Snack -1/2 oz. Midori Melon Liqueur, 1/2 oz. Malibu Coconut Rum, 1 splash Pineapple Juice, 1 Squirt of     whipped cream. Love these and people will get a kick out of the name.

#2 Grasshopper- 3/4 cream, 3/4 creme de cacao, white and 3/4 creme de menthe, green.  I would call this dessert its so yummy!

#3 Green Pina Colada – 3 oz light rum, 3 tbsp coconut cream, 3 tbsp crushed pineapples, add green food coloring for a festive look, then put all ingredients into an electric blender with 2 cups of crushed ice. Blend at a high speed for a short length of time. Strain into a collins glass and serve with a straw.

#4 7Up & Pepper Vodka – Those of you who like spicy sweet, Try this, its so refreshing with a surprising spice. Pour 7Up and Pepper Vodka to taste. This clear cocktail looks beautiful with any color, you can garnish with a Jalapeno for a little extra something.  Again if you like spicy, you’ll love this!

#5 Gingerbread Eggnog Martini – 1 oz Eggnog, 1 oz Hiram Walker Gingerbread Liquor, 1 oz Vodka, Combine all ingredients and shake well. Dust with freshly grated nutmeg or cinnamon, if desired. You may also want to  garnish with a cute little gingerbread man hanging from the rim. A different twist to the everyday ho-hum eggnog martini.

#6 Candy Cane Cocktail – Creamy mix of Vanilla Stoli, creme de menthe, simple syrup, cream, dash of cherry liqueur, and a red & white sugared rim, garnished with a mini candy cane! Such a beautiful Christmas cocktail-this is a new one out there, but trust me, they are so yummy and very festive!

#7 Hot Cranberry-Apple cider(serves more than 1) You will need a 6 quart pot, 2 quarts apple cider, 1-1/2 quarts cranberry juice (not cocktail, no sugar added) 1/4 packed brown sugar, 4 sticks of cinnamon, 1-1/2 teaspoons whole cloves, 1 orange, thinly sliced, spiced rum or cinnamon schnapps. 1st, Combine all the ingredients in the pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for about 15 minutes. 2nd, Strain the fruit slices and spices. Garnish with two or three slices of orange. 3rd, Pour into stemmed mugs and add a shot of spiced rum or cinnamon schnapps. Serve HOT.  mmmmmm!  :)
