As if “I” could be like Martha Stewart! Ha! I wish!! Well I was playing a pretend game, where I felt like Martha Stewart. I have had this awesome book that has all these fabulous DIY projects that my mother-in-law gave me and I picked it up the other day and said to myself, “why the hell am I not doing any of these??”
So on my “free”;) time I am starting ANOTHER little project, where I will do a project every other day and post something about it when I am done (if it looks half way decent!). I’m sure that most the DIY Diva’s out there have done most of the projects I am going to attempt, but maybe not! I am going to have fun with this. My first endeavor was a creating a heart out of Oasis (florist foam), Mums, Daisy’s and red carnations. The great people at Dennis 7 Dee’s helped me out immensely. Thank you to all of you folks over there!!
What was so great about this little project I decided to take on, was in the end, the Valentine Day bride wanted to use it for her wedding decor!
I should have done a little ‘bit’ on “how to” to do this. I will do another one and put my step by step process on here. This time, I am going to just show cute pictures of my finished product.
I am proud of myself, can you tell?! I had some help from my brilliant friend Amber (the jewelry designer/maker of Hillside Design). I ran out of flowers, being so this was my first time doing something like this, so we had ugly sides of the Oasis showing, “what to do?” “I know” Amber said (who is getting married by the way in August) . “Lets, use the left over Tulip leaves for the sides!” Amber is awesome! It turned out so perfectly and we used the scraps from the left over flowers.
Oh, and I had some of these lovely little delights while crafting my masterpiece
. Yummmo!
Thanks for reading my little blog! If you have any recommendations, comments or want to submit your own DIY project, I’d love to hear from you! info@iplanitright.com
