I just love feasting my eyes on gorgeous photographs. Especially when it has to do with romance, weddings, and happy couples. Such brilliance out there in cyber-space! I decided to post some of my very favorites. Just click on each picture and it will take you to that photographer. They are all different and so very amazing!! If you need some inspiration or just want to gaze at some seriously amazing photography, I urge you to click and browse through their websites. Seriously.

I recently had a fun conversation with a bride about engagement photographs. How to find a photographer that will create the special images, i.e resolution, special lenses, guidance.  I say, ”shop around whether it be from your wedding planner, usually your best advocate for some amazing talent, your hairstylist, friends, co-worker or online. When you do find her/him or them ;) , have a plan of action to discuss with your photographer, don’t be afraid to tell him/her your ideas, more than likely, your photographer will be stoked and will probably have some great ideas as well.

When it comes to the day of your engagement/wedding photograph session, “ have fun, loosen up and be yourself.”

The two of you ( you & your hubby/fiance) get together and talk about what you want to implement in your photos. Be creative, think of ways to let your “true self shine”, do you both enjoy fishing? tennis? the beach? flying kites? arcade games? riding bikes? all which can be used to make awesome pictures. What are your favorite movies?

My husbands is Reservoir Dogs, so he had all his groomsmen, do their own version of the Reservoir Dog stance.

I love the textured look of this photograph by Unique Minds photography. Lets stare at it for a moment……………………………………………………….

The above photo is from gettyimages.com just a digital media provider, but I happened to love this photograph. It is showing exactly what I am blogging about. Ideas and inspiration for great photographs.

Hopefully these fun photographs have given you some inspiration and ideas.

Its wonderful when I see artistic engagement photos. Portraits are fine, but when the photos have meaning, it just makes it so very personal and beautiful!

Thank you for stopping by! If you have any comments, I’d love to hear from you. info@iplanitright.com

Rockabilly Retro Wedding Shoes

I haven’t been feeling well the past few days, thats why I haven’t blogged, exuses, exuses, but I still managed to click through the blogsphere to read my favorites and shop some adds! I can’t wait to show you what I have found.

Shoe Love Kiss The Groom

In reading ILoveLolliblog I had to find out who did the photography of these super fun & fabulous pictures and where I could find the shoes and I will tell you , but first the lovely Lolliladies made a great point, that I have to share with you – ‘ There is nothing better than being yourself on your wedding day and letting your bridal party do the same. Be comfortable and confident. Be effortlessly elegant. ‘ So true! Its so important to have fun with your special day and let your true self shine, that is what will set you apart from the already fluffy white flowery wedding world.

Kiss The Groom blogged about this GORGEOUS bride.  Her shoes made my heart skip a beat. Elizabeth Messina (well known photographer & creator of Kiss The Groom ) as always, does an excellent job of showing the brides true personality, confidence and just how much fun you can have getting your picture taken by a professional photographer! The bride happens to be one of the founders of OMELLE a luxury shoe company where you can find your very own fabulous pair.

Speaking of shoes, below are some statement heels-If you haven’t noticed, its all about the statement heel. There’s a lot of ‘architectural’ footwear out there at the moment, but I’ve certainly never seen the term taken quite so literally as Geox has done in their new range of party shoes, each of which has a heel shaped like the Empire State Building. Geox is a  company KNOWN for comfortable, breathable shoes. What do you think? I find it a bit frustrating/jelous that they are EXCLUSIVELY sold only from Geox’s London stores: Covent Garden, Westfield, and King’s Road. Even though they are fashioned after an American sky-scraper in ‘ Neeeewww Yorrrrk! Everybody say yeaaah- yeaah- yeaaaah! ‘ ;)

Now that I have Alicia Keys voice stuck in your head we’re are moving on to my next love. :)  Bolero’s are the best way to accessorize any fantastic cute-fit. And the Bonzie Shop has some of the cutest ones I have seen yet! Bonzie is an independent Irish design label with romantic vintage and appeal. Pair one of their Bolero’s with a plain tank-top or that perfect black dress to wear ANYWHERE, by the way, I couldn’t just pick one favorite Bolero, so I put (3) pictures on here for you to ‘oodle’ over.

Rococco Bridal Wrap

I am crazy for all kinds of headpiece decoration this year from over the top-hats to beaded-headbands and beautiful-vintage-scarfs. Florica has created these delicate pieces so beautifully. Florica is a shop that has started a new line of bridal and occasion headpieces by Irish designer Helen James. . Each flower is individually cut, one petal at a time, so every piece is completely unique. Find them and purchase one of your very own from Florica’s Shop. What a special way to feel so perfectly girly and pretty this spring! Happy Hump-Day

 SarahSeven.com

Today I am so excited to feature this Wedding dress Wednesday showcase on some gorgeous wedding gowns and very special occasion dresses that would make for spectacular bridesmaid dresses. In addition to the our featured designer I have picked out these  stunningly beautiful photographs by Levenda Nettles , Angela Burdine & Lucas Cook.

The gowns are designed by the amazing Sarah Seven. All her pieces evoke the deep desire of romance. She has created unique pieces that are vintage inspired, but decidingly modern. Her bridal, special occasion and ready to wear collections are a rare glimpse into the perfected and intricate arrangement of blossoming ruffles, delicate fabrics, and flowing layers. Everything we ladies love and adore to wear, especially on our wedding day!

As stated on her site, she is a true Portland native (how lucky are we?!). Sarah Seven uses natural fabrics, silk, wool, linens, cotton voile as well as recycled vintage fabrics. Her lovely gowns and dresses are such an amazing find they range from $95-$1400 . This is a great example of a quality dress without blowing your budget. - I WISH I would have found her before I purchased my gown!

Alfred Angelo Coupon!

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

Alfred Angelo is offering another coupon for 50% off.  Save some money!  Tip for shopping;  The fabric of your gown needs to be one of the factors in making it “the one”. Lightweight fabrics like chiffon are the best choice for warm-weather weddings. If your nuptials will be in wintery-weather consider heavier fabrics. Worried about a little weight gain? Pick a gown with a lace-up back. This is a gorgeous way to have a more forgiving and figure flattering dress.
