The fun and foxy Faux-bob has been around for quite awhile. I am in-love with this hairstyle, simply because you can make it glamorous or casual -depending on your mood and event. And with all the adorable hair and head accessories, the option to look as gorgeous as these celebrities is endless! I picked my favorite Faux-bob styles.
You might have noticed that some of your favorite actresses have long flowing locks one day and then a cute short bob the next. This is not a phenomena, its the “easy-to-do” Faux-bob. This short do is great for the everyday women when she feels like spicing up her look and a great addition your wedding gown or night out.
Easy steps to follow are;
Pull hair back into a low ponytail with a hair tie that blends in with the color of our hair. (Goody makes some inexpensive one.)
Tuck the ponytail under and secure it with bobby pins to hold your hair firmly in place.
Next, pull a generous amount of hair from the tops and the sides to create the illusion that your hair is down.
Lastly, curl the loose hairs with a curling iro so they shorten and look more voluminous.
Mist your entire head with hairspray and then loosely pin back any extra long hairs to create an overall shorter appearance.
Don’t be afraid to experiment with new looks! This is a great way to find out if you want that short bob or a great alternative to getting that short do.
Kate’s is my favorite, to get her look;
Create a center part then tease hair at the roots to add texture. Roll the long layers up and pin at the nape of the neck with bobby pins. No curling iron necessary, just use some spray gel and scrunch!
I just stuck this last photograph in here because I love the hairstyle and accessory. My next post will be of some great finds from Etsy to decorate your your hair with, like the headband above on Amanda Bynes.

There are exciting events going on this weekend and I know EXACTLY what to do with my hair and makeup thanks to the Spring 2010 Haute Couture fashion shows from Dior, Givenchy & CHANEL. Have you checked them out yet?
The trends are; softly sculpted eye brows, pastels on the eyelid, a bold matte lip, finger waves and big barreled soft curls and of course prominent liquid lined lashes! No self-respecting man-killer would leave the house with anything less than perfect skin. Use CoverGirl Clean Liquid Makeup and CoverGirl clean pressed powder.
Eyeshadow colors are; violet, aqua, tangerine, or taupe apply from the lash line to just above the crease. For the Lashes check out CoverGirl LashBlast length mascara in ‘VeryBlack’
For a matte crimson lip color use CoverGirl ClassicRed – I don’t care what you say, it will look good on everyone! Especially if you have those super tiny thin lips, you need a bold color to bring’em out. I picked my favorites from each show, feast your eyes on them below.
Its winter time! How do we stay warm, keep our hair healthy and look fashionable when the wind is blowing, rain is falling and snow is just around the corner?
Winter Hair Care Tips…
Directions
Wear a scarf, hat or cap to protect your hair from the cold and wind, but make sure that it’s not so tight that it will restrict circulation in your scalp.
Use a conditioner daily. Once you have your hair moist, lock in the moisture by running your hair through cold water, this will also give your hair an extra shine. Don’t go outside with your hair wet, you risk breakage; your hair will freeze if it’s cold enough outside and may break. Limit your use of “hot” items on your hair such as blow dryers and curling irons. If you need to use a “hot” item use a leave in conditioner .
If you need to wash out your hairuse adry shampoo.
Hairstyle trends change every year and it seems that these changes are bringing only good changes, changes meant to bring versatility. Women need versatility when it comes to their hairstyles because the more styling options the better and you will be able to surprise everyone with different hairstyles as often as you wish. Short hairstyles have been popular in 2009 and they are maintaining their popularity in 2010 as well, short means modern and youthful looking, which acts like a magnet. Side swept bangs will maintain in 2010. Be realistic when you see your hairstylist and make sure that the hair cut will match your face shape. When coloring your hair, be sure to choose a color that will make your skin glow. Hairstyles in 2010 are all about versatility. Due to this factor hairstyles offer endless possibilities, depending on face shape as well as hair type. Find the right hairstyle for you in 2010 and you will be worthy of admiration! Below are my favorites and they all look good on any face shape/hair length.
